Security / Asset Protection / Door and Floor Security Personnel / Bailiffs

Security Officers / Loss Prevention Officers are required to protect property and the personnel on the property.
They may also be required to secure and or subdue a criminal until law enforcement personnel are in attendance
and or to protect themselves and the public. All of this must be done within the boundaries of the law, which may
recognize them only as civilians, with no special powers of arrest etc.

By offering training in both 'soft' (identification, de-escalation, etc) and 'hard' (control and restraint), an officer can
be equipped with the necessary tactics and skills to do the job efficiently and effectively.

The main focus security personnel are to ensure that the premises are safe for staff and patrons and to ensure the
business retains its license by adhering to all laws governing the establishment.  This means that the security
personnel must deal with troublesome customers in a safe, respectful and low-key manner drawing as little attention
to the event as possible.

Our course will teach these security personnel how to identify trouble and to deal with it quickly and effectively in a
non-confrontational manner.  Students will be taught effective control and restraint techniques, how to recognize
and deal with upset or troubled patrons, how to prepare the floor for the safety of patrons and employees prior the
event starting.
